Bliss Out: Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra & Healing Sound Bath
Escape the stresses of the day and immerse yourself in an evening of profound relaxation and rejuvenation. This 90-minute session, led by Jennifer Misterka, 500RYT, combines the gentle support of Restorative Yoga with the deeply meditative practice of Yoga Nidra, all while being bathed in soothing sound vibrations.
We'll begin with approximately 30 minutes of supported Restorative Yoga postures. Using props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks, you'll be guided into comfortable, passive poses that encourage the body to release tension and promote a sense of ease. These gentle asanas help to open the body, calm the nervous system, and prepare you for deeper relaxation.
Following the Restorative practice, you'll settle into a comfortable position for a full hour of Yoga Nidra, also known as Yogic sleep. This guided meditation takes you to the edge of consciousness, a state between waking and sleeping, where deep healing and restoration can occur. As you journey through the layers of your being, you'll be enveloped by the therapeutic vibrations of a Sound Bath, featuring instruments like singing bowls, gongs, and other resonant tools. The sound frequencies work to further calm the mind, release energetic blockages, and promote a profound sense of peace and well-being.
This class is perfect for anyone seeking deep relaxation, stress relief, and a gentle way to nourish their body and mind. No prior yoga experience is necessary.
